I get asked why is your bread have a tan darker color?
Because it's fresh milled with all the bran, endosperm and germ. Store bought is stripped of the bran and germ and then bleached and bromated then chocked full of un needed chemicals and sugar to preserve a shelf life of 10-15 days. Fresh milled flour breads have a 3-4 day shelf life. For long term freshness you need to wrap good and freeze for up to 6 months.
