Spray Bottles

Is there a particular one you prefer? I'm having trouble with one's that cant spray with pieces of seasoning.

Great post really, I have the same problem with Injectors getting clogged up with seeds or dill.

With a sprayer, maybe get some fine stainless steel mesh like a faucet screen and tie-wrap it around the sprayer bottom intake?

Anyone got tips on Injectors? Sorta the same question.

i dont know, sounds more like a hassel to do that. i was thinking of a weed sprayer

A lot of time I use Italian dressing and it has seeds, etc. in it that clog up an injector sometimes. I usually pour it through a stainer like this and get a pure liquid. What ever I don't use, I just mix everything back together and use as a marinade, etc. Hasn't failed me yet.

Don't laugh. I've seen weed sprayers used (modified a needle to fit).

My suggestion is to strain your injection liquid through a fine mesh screen (or cheesecloth) prior to injecting your meat. Even if doing that, you might want to use a sprayer with an intake guard (i've seen these somewhere, but can't remember where).

Ya know i got into this hobby to get away from the expencive one's. Every time i turn around i gotta buy a new tool, but.......none has been half as rewarding

as this one, thanx for the advise and i am gonna buy one tomorrow.

Invention is the mother of necessity. You probably don't have to run out and buy anything. I suspect you've got a strainer somewhere. A (clean) pair of nylon stockings might also work to strain things.

Nice part about this hobby is that your friends and family will often encourage you to do it more often.

I've got one of those cheapo "magic bullet" type blender. I run them all through it for a while. gets most of the stuff chopped up really fine.

I guess my thought on the issue is, if it has critters that get caught in a sprayer nozzle, I mop it on. If it is just liquid, I use a sprayer.

I picked the sprayer up at Ace hardware. It is a handheld pump type. Seems to work pretty well and hold up to acidic mixtures.

Talk about getting the wife p'od she had some kind of cleaner in a pray bottle and one day I noticed it had a strainer on the tube about the size of a dime....poured out about a 1/3 bottle..washed it real good..works great..have to shake the bottle sometimes as seeds and things will stick.
wife didn't talk to me for about 4 hours
