Our local farmers market open for the first time of the year last weekend and there was a new local meat vender and I picked up a whole chicken and some thighs from them.

Then today we went to the local orchard/store and got some local sugar slap peas and potatoes.

So I broke out the rotisserie and went with one of my favorite simple recipes that I learned from another bbqing friend. Chicken on the spit, AP seasoning in the cavity, half a lemon, half a head of garlic, the other half of lemon, the other half of garlic, and the second fork. More AP seasoning on the other side, and EVOO spray on the outside.

First time I have even gone potatoes under the chicken.

The painful rest.

Got to do something to let the meat rest and not just rip into it so I got the sugar snap peas on the Kettle.

And the plate.

Very Nice! I would have a big smile on my face sitting down to that meal!

Great job! Looks fantastic and supporting the locals is always a bonus!
