So I am spatching a 12lb bird and wondering if I can start it in the oven and finish in the smoker for a little flavor and make space in the oven for the wife’s baking. Thoughts?
 
why not smoke it start to finish? I wouldnt bake first then smoke. pretty sure it wont have near as much smoke flavor. but if its just cooking space you nee then should be fine
 
I’d smoke first then move to the oven. But if you just need to finish cooking it’ll be fine.
 
I’m not smoking the whole time because it’s nasty out. Getting soft I guess. Thanks fellas.
 
That and I can’t get my smoker to 400 degrees.
