I have a Smoky Mountain Series Great Outdoors and for some reason, if I leave it for 20 minutes, the flame cuts out. What could be the problem? I thought it was the wind the first time, so I wrapped a blanket around the bottom to cut off the wind but not completely so the flame has some air. Help please.

Sounds like you are loosing oxygen and or heating the oxygen and the flame is dropping out. You need to have fresh air flowing by the burner up into and through the smoker. We have a GOSM group you can join..............................................................................http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/112896/this-is-new-a-gosm-users-group

any way to allow more oxygen to flow through? i opened the bottom vents a bit

hows it going so far? I would open the vents all the way and try to regulate temp with the burner and with the top vent leaving the bottom vent fully open
