I made a mistake and ordered twice as much prime rib than we need. I've already prepped the whole thing for the smoker with a rub, etc. Think I could cut it in half and freeze the seasoned remainder for awhile, rather than cooking it all right now?

Thanx,
Fred. :help:

Freeze it. The salt can cause rancidity with long freezer storage, >6 months, but if you will eat it by the Summer months you will be fine. Just wrap it very well to avoid freezer burn...JJ
