Hey guys I keep reading, that I need to soak fibrous casings for SS in warm water with vinegar. How much vinegar and do you rinse after soaking, before stuffing. Thanks

I have never used vinegar for fibours casings. Just water for 30 mins

You just need to soak them in warm water. Vinegar is only added to water when soaking hog or sheep casings.

the SS i made a few weeks back with LEM fiber casings just called for warm water. I also have only heard of vinegar with natural casings. ( although I never heard why ) i did just make some ring bologna with collagen rings that called for them to be soaked in a salt water solution prior to stuffing which seemed odd to me as I am usually soaking natural in plain water to get rid of the salt.
