I'LL BE MOVING TO TEXAS IN A COUPLE WEEKS, I'D LOVE TO SHOP THERE! BE ABOUT 1000 MILES FROM ALPINE TEXAS, MIGHT BE TOO FAR.

Had to check the date of the first post. It’s almost like finding out Tom and Jerry are still putting out new episodes. I just looked it up and he’s at 20 years now, wow.

Triple D featured my friends bakery "The Pie Hole" a few years back. Apparently his flight was re-routed a bit and my buddy had to pick him up. Guy was not pleased by the delay.

My buddy had an hour or so to chat with Guy. Fun fact, the red mustang he drives in the intro is shipped to the location where they are shooting and is so bagged out, that it barely does 30 mph.

it is a Camaro...lol but what do you mean "bagged out" They actually cloned that one so there are 2 cars for the show.

Ah right you are! It is a Camero. I was going off my apparently failing memory.

When they were shooting my friends episode, the one that was being used apparently couldn't go over 30 mph. That's what I mean by bagged out.

what a waste of a great looking convertible....30mph...lol

This is as good a place as any to remind people that most of the recipes that have ever appeared on TripleD are published on the Food Network website:

https://www.foodnetwork.com/shows/diners-drive-ins-and-dives/recipes

Some are suitably scaled for home use, others reflect the commercial scale at which the featured kitchen operates. It's always fun to find a favorite recipe from a past episode, then find it starts with "to 75 lbs of whole wheat flour add..."

They've been to RI a bunch of times. They did a show at a clamshack in the town I live in and not to disparage the place but it's overpriced and mediocre but the tourists love it.
