Howdy!!!
Just wanted to say THANKS to everyone who commented on my post a couple days ago when I needed a plan to rescue what I thought was a brisket cook going really really slow. Turns out the thermometer or probe or both were malfunctioning and throwing off wrong temps. Anyway, I was able to finish everything and had a great gathering with friends on Saturday, after the rain cleared out. Here are some of the finish pictures, along with some of the build pics of the smoker (a couple have asked for more pics...):

Thanks again for all the help!! So, the smoker is something I made. Vertical offset, 1/4 inch steel fire box

It is insulated

Got enough grates to hold a nice amount of smoky goodness. I did include some baffles to control the heat distribution

No welds at all, all drilled and bolted together. Smokers always look pretty when new
