Everyone, meet Swagger! It's been awhile since I've trained a dog, especially from a pup,...so looking forward to the next exciting year!
I lost my last lab spring of 2018 and didn't think i had enough heart left to go through that again. Then it hit me last year, "why be labless and miserable everyday ?" So, here we are! I'll try to update this as we progress!
I picked him up last Friday at 7 weeks old and it is amazing how much he has grown and adapted in the last 7 days! Definitely help filling a void in my life!

AWE! Labs are the best. We have two yellows. They are the sweetest!

Congrats for sure!

Nice . Took me 3 years the last time , before I rescued a 5 year old cattle dog , that is now 12 . So I'm right back there again .

I used to train German shepherds and German shorthaired pointers . All the Labs I was around didn't fully mature until 3 years old .

That's a good lookin pup . Enjoy !

Congrats on the new addition to the family! We don't deserve dogs and the unconditional love they have for us. This is Stella, the newest addition to the zoo we have over here (3 dogs, 3 cats).

That's a good looking pup. I don't know if i will have the heart to get another dog after mine passes but if I do thinking about getting a hunting dog. All the labs I've ever been around chewed like crazy when they were pups.

So cool and what a beautiful pup! Labs are definitely one of if not the best!

Congrats on getting Swagger!

Congrads on yur PUP!
I had a half dozen Labs thru my life.
They are by far a unique breed.
Get the book : Good Dog, Bad Dog. Google it
Its got alot of stuff to train Yur dog.
The 2 I had were trained as pups.
The 2 Labs I had were so Obedient, could leave them unleashed and they knew to obey.
Both made it to the point I had to be put down, Buried in the back yard.
What else could you ask for !?
Unfortunately had a few Rescue dogs, they were not very responsive.
Had their own way of mine?
They did not have such luck, lasted a few years each.
Cherish yur Pup!

Congrats buckeye. I’d love to get a lab but we move way too much and housing has became hard enough to find without any pets. That’s a good looking dog!

Congrats on the new pup! I just love puppy breath.

I can't hardly imagine life without dogs, but it's going to be a very bad day when the time comes to put down Lucy. She's 5 now so hopefully I've many more years with her.

Here's a pic that Ray sawhorseray sawhorseray posted in one of his jokes and it has just stuck with me...

Congrats on the new pup. Love black labs, was the 1st dog we had as kids. The last one Abby, we had to put down in 2016, hardest thing in my life to do. I would have loved to have had a pup from her but had her fixed right away which made her one of the mellowest dogs I have ever seen. She was pheasant hunting machine.

HE SHOULD STOP CHEWING EVERYTHING IN ABOUT THREE YEARS. RAY
This is what I meant above about maturing at age 3 . Very trainable , but the chewing goes on for awhile .

She was pheasant hunting machine.
I had a buddy that had relatives in Red Oak Iowa . We used to take the shorthairs up there to hunt . Big corn farmer , 11 farms to hunt .
Met a guy at the local watering hole that had a bunch of CRP land . Invited us to hunt .
He had a yellow lab named " Ducks " . That dog was a pheasant and quail hunting machine .
