Santa Clarita California
Grillin' Pro

Hi everyone!

It's been a long, long time since I've visited a forum, but I am excited to share my outdoor cooking shop-talk with others.

I am a southern-bred girl, trapped in California....LOL

I live in Santa Clarita California, near Six Flags Magic Mountain...Ironically, about an 8 minute drive from the bottom rim of the massive wildfire burning here, "The Powerhouse Fire".

I'm mother to 6 kids- ages 6 to 23. 4 girls , 1 boy...one American Badass.....(Okay, she might argue, but I have a 19 year old daughter currently deployed with the US Army in Afghanistan...

My husband of 17 years has recently given in to my gourmet madness....

He just surprised me with a Master Built electric smoker- and I am torturing a chicken in it as I type this.

I'm great at grilling- arguably the best in town- and I can tame even the orneriest boss with a fat Ribeye and some grilled veggies.

(I imagine that my from-scratch strawberry shortcake and fresh cream doesn't hurt)

Nonetheless, we are an outdoor cooking family, and I don't care about the particular fanciness of the grill or vessel, I am more concerned with method and quality of ingredients.

I look forward to getting to know you all here....

Thanks for having me,
