Just need to get this off my chest! Before I do something i'll regret...

I just finished prepping my 20lb turkey. Went out back to get the smoker (Traeger Electric Smoker) ready. I pulled the smoker away from the sidewall and the hopper side of the grill (Heavy side as well) falls forward catching me off guard. The grill lands and severs the power cord! Now Im SOL! I dont have the right materials to bake the turkey...it's not looking good! I'm madder than an emo at a rubber knife shop!

Sorry if this was posted in the wrong place...

not sure how handy you are, but take off whatever parts that expose where the rest of the cord leads to and reattach the wires from what's left of the plug end..  maybe a screw driver and wire strippers do the job.. worse case a soldering iron.  fix that puppy and get rolling.

Don't let that ruin things for you. If you're not sure how to fix it yourself, do a google search or call a friend over. Should be an easy fix - if you post a pic of the damage I will walk you through it if you want...

Just picked up some electrical tape. Gonna try getting them back together and see if I can get this puppy going again. It can be repaired. I called up Traeger and there sending me out a new one free of charge should be here by wednesday. I'm gonna get this one going hopefully to finish this bird off at least! I guess its better to happen now then on thanksgiving day...

still working on it. I got a 2 year old running around here...havent had a chance to sit down and deal with it yet

Fast fix, 3 wire nuts, electrical tape. Strip the wires, wire nut them, tape them, and your good to go.

When you can go to Home Depot or Lowes, they sell pigtails, you can get a 12 ga 10' pig tail.  Pigtail has the plug on one end and 3 bare wires on the other.

Thanks everyone for the help. The smoker is up and running as of last night. I will be smoking the turkey in the morning on monday on account i work tonight.
