Chicago western burbs
Hi all. Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I just recently received a masterbuilt electric smoker and so far am enjoying it quite a bit. I smoked some tilapia the other night and am doing a whole chicken tonight. I am very much looking forward to trying ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and jerky. What I foresee as the biggest challenge at this point is gauging time (I know...cook to temp, but having a feel for rough time will help a lot with meal planning. Anyway, look forward to learning a lot and enjoying the fruits of my labor.

To SMF!  We are glad you joined us!   Have you signed up for Jeff's E-Course yet?  If not...here is a link that will get you started.

This place is great...you will get to meet some great folks and learn a trick or too! I want to try my hand at some salmon soon.  Or possibly Catfish...which I hear is great smoked.
If you need any help navigating around...just holler!

from the Buckeye state!  If learning is the goal you've found the right place, tons of information and friendly folks. There is also a MES (Masterbuilt Electric Smoker) owners group here that you might want to join.
