Hey guys I am very new to smoking. I am attempting deer jerky for the first time. I used cure in my recipie. Is it ok to smoke at a low temp then finish in dryer? Thanks for any advice.

How low and type of smoker?

I did some on my gasser at about 225 for 4 hours and didn't need to dry it afterwards. I'm actually gonna marinate some this morning to put on the pellet smoker Friday and was gonna do it the same amount of time and temperature.

Yes, on the dryer..... I didn't see you used cure the first time I read the recipe.... Thumbs Up... good recipe
