Hi, I am new to the site. I have been curing meats for about a year now, but am about to smoke for the first time. I'm smoking a couple of different types of bacon (hot smoking).

a buddy has asked if he can throw a couple of fish into the smoker while I am doing the bacon. I am concerned that my bacon will pick up his fish flavor. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

all of my reading says that it won't, but if you are concerend about it, simply do the fish before or after the bacon.

Doing a hot smoke shouldnt be a problem, but which goes over the top of which could be an issue. I wouldn't want fish juice drips on my bacon or bacon drips on my fish(well maybe that). In my MES i would probably avoid doing fish and any other type of meat at the same time, but it's small and sure as shoot flavors would mix somehow.
