Somewhat new to this and have a question for you. I want to smoke an entire meal but not sure how to go about it? Want to do ribs, corn on the cob in the husk and potato's. My question is. Do you put all the items in there and let them smoke/cook or do you start with the longest smoked item first like the ribs and add the other items later like you would if you were making a conventional meal? My way of thinking on this is this. Smoking is Low and Slow, so would the corn and taters dry out before the ribs were done if everything was put in at the same time? Or would they just sort of "simmer" while the big item (RIBS) were cooking? Aslo, when smoking taters, does the smoke penetrate or does the skin become a barrier? Thanks

Put the potatoes in at the same time with the ribs. Rub with EVOO & poke holes in the potato (for smoke penetration). I foil my potatoes & they get great smoke penetrations (insides are smoky yellow).

For Corn, follow the instructions on the left under Jeff's How tos..
