I have a trager and a old smokey elec smoker. I have a 13 lb turkey and want to smoke it but haven't done it on the treager yet and it's been years since I have used smokey but I do remember it did a great job. The treager I noticed I don't really get the smoke I want with their pellets but I haven't tried any others. So what's the best and how long and temp? Thanks

I would think the Traeger would be easier and give you the better results.   If used properly you will get very little smoke out of a smoker.  We like to call it Ninja Smoke because you know it is there but you can't always see it.  Keeping Temps on a Ol Smokey for several hours is doable but you have the Cadillac of easy wood pellet smokers use it.  I would smoke at 250 till the breast hits and internal temp of 175.

Thank you for the info! I like my treager just wish I could get more BBQ taste so to speak out of it. I wish there was someone around me that sold the better pellets than the treager ones but I use what I have. Have a great thanks giving and a safe holiday!
