Posting this to let you know that my good buddy @Smokin' in AZ lost his fight with cancer and past away last Tuesday night. John was a good friend and a great part of this forum, he will be missed. RAY

John was a great guy. Always fun to chat with and had some great cooks as well. Know the past couple years were pretty damn rough on him. Hope he has some peace now. Will certainly be praying for his family.

Wow, so sad to hear. Unfortunately some of us have known for a while that he fought his last battle a while ago and from there, it was just a matter of time. John was a great guy and a very good friend. We shared a lot of laughs, and more than a few lies. Rest in peace my friend and Godspeed to Sue.

Thanks for posting this Ray . I know you guys were friends and had spent time hanging out . John was a great guy to see around the forum too . Spent some time talking with him in PM's , and checking on him after he told me he was sick .
When the messages stop being returned , all you can do is wait . I hope he is at peace and pain free now .

This is sad to hear about John’s passing. He seemed like a great guy and he was fun to talk to. He fought a hell of a fight against cancer, now he is at peace and will be missed. I think about him a lot.
