Does anyone have any trouble with their smoker leaving a "burnt plastic/rubber" taste on their food ?I've had this happen twice now.
strange....i doubt it could be the combo of wood. have you used the same wood? how old is the wood? i use that combo of wood all the time and never get the taste you described. anymore details on that vent? hows ur airflow situation?No its about a yr old I seasoned it.,last time it happened was a while ago,did ribs a week ago and they were great I didn't touch the vent,could it be the apple/pecan wood mix?I have 2 pork butts to do tonight,i'm gonna try leaving the vent open with just apple.
