LJ as mentioned or cookinpelletsI’ve just started smoking with a vertical pellet smoker. I’m reading that YOU MUST use quality wood pellets. Does anyone have suggestions as to the best I can buy?
Thanks
" But these burn hotter and cleaner"-----I'm gonna give 'em a try. Thanks for the tip! These are the best I have used, but it's hard to beat the $9.00 price of Lumberjacks from Rural King, Dick's will price match the L.J. pellets if you show them the R.K. prices.
But these burn hotter and cleaner, by far the best I've used, but they are three times the price of L.J's.

Another Lumberjack vote. I like them better than anything else I’ve tried.
Lumberjack, for sure, but I also use KnottyWood plum for amazing color. Also CookinPellets apple mash for extra apple goodness.
I’m in the lumberjack camp. Can’t always get them, but definitely preferred!
OK, OK, I'll try them too! Had always intended to anyway, so thanks for the nudge!
Wow. I did find a guy who sells LJ here. at the wholesale price but he has limit inventory. So I bulk purchased from cookingpllets and got a decent priceB&B and Pit Boss user here. Around 15$ for a 40 lb bag at Academy stores
