Hey all my name is Dan. Purchased my first smoker about 3 months ago when I found a new brinkmann smoke n grill for about $20, figured why not? Im 22 and live in new Lisbon wi after having lived and learned what I know about grilling during the 15 years I lived in fl.
Found this site about an hour ago right after I put a 10.5 lb pork shank on the smoker with apple chips, I have a basic pork rub on with equal parts coffee, salt, pepper, paprika, and sugar. After setting it up I decided to look for a tweak for the mop sauce which is basically the rub with vinegar, I've used it on shoulder and butt and like it, but decided to see if anyone on here might have an applicable tweak.
Looking forward to learning what I can here as it seems there are a lot of experienced smokers on the site.
