20 July, 11 AM-

I sliced up four large Big Boy tomatoes, put 'em in the smoker and set the heat to 150*. No smoke, just heat.


21 July, 6 AM-

I just took them out. They're dry, but still pliable. A little later today, I'll shove 'em in a Ball jar, super heat 'em and put the lid on.


 
I know this is an old thread but WOW what an awesome idea, I dehydrate stuff all the time including tomatoes and I'd powder the tomatoes up as I need that extra tomatoe flavor, How wonderful it will be to do some up on the smoker and have smoky flavored tomatoes this summer, I can't wait.
