I bought a used New Braunfels smoker this past weekend and was checking the dimensions vs what the calculator link said and found a few discrencies.
My main concern is the opening from firebox to smoke chamber is about 2x what is recommended. Should I close part of the opening off or just let it go? Basically I guess I am wondering if the measurements are the minimum requirements or if it will do better with a smaller opening.
I have already searched and found some suggested mods for similar smokers but they will have to wait just a bit before I can do them.
