Have not really made anything worth posting in a while. Thought I would throw this out there. Picked up a couple trout marked down 50%. Soon as got home put them in Pop's low salt brine. Smoked at 180 with Lumber Jack CB dust for 2.5 hours. After sitting in fridge couple days really tasting good. Jeff gave me suggestion to make taco's with slaw. I made

charro beans. Those are also so good. Simple taco's but good. I did these cold but those low carb tortilla kind of chewy cold. Next time I will heat fish and tortillas up.
My buddy and I hit the stripers couple days ago. They where all nice fish and he also caught 2 Black Bass on same lure. All where released.
I go down to the Red River several times a week for couple beers and couple friends. I usually take a swim to beat hot weather. The lake is turning over now and this nasty smelling stuff coming out. No more swims for a while.
