Had to try something new for the super Bowl. Started with some of Sam's loin back ribs, some with a coffee rub and some with a regular bbq rub.

My pit thermometer got a little messed up part way through, think was up against my pan, so they smoked for about 7 1/2 hours... a little longer than normal!

Let them partially cool, cut into individual ribs, then into a mix of flour and rub, then milk, and then back into the flour mix. Deep fried at 375 for 3 minutes until golden. We made two with panko bread crumbs in the first batch, but didn't care for them as much.

These were a big hit for my oldest and I. Will definitely do it again sometime!

Thanks all! Al, your encouragement on using internal temperature is what kept me from having underdone ribs, appreciate it!
