A friend had a two day fishing excursion to Lake Michigan for Salmon the end of May.
I was the DH if his son couldn’t go. My daughter was also expecting her fourth son to be born during this trip so I wanted to be he in two places at once but his son was able to go and I’m glad he could spend time with his dad!
Meeting my tenth grandchild for the first time at the hospital.

I stopped at his place last night to talk about his trip and he gave me a Coho to eat.
Luckily I found my cedar planks so smoking the salmon was on the menu.
Seasoned with lemon pepper

Made fried tatters with green peppers, onions and garlic and fried in bacon grease.

The salmon was excellent and not nearly as strong as most salmon I’ve ate over the years. We are planning a trip next May tentatively 🤞🏻

Good looking meal! And big congratulations on the newest grandbaby!

Hard to beat fresh caught fish, huge salmon fans here. And the meal looks mighty tasty!
