Hey guys i was going to try smoking some beef and pork for a chili i am making but i am having a hard time deciding what kinda wood to use any help would be great thanx

yea that was the meat i was gonna use but i didnt want the meat to over power the chili. did you cook you meat completly or let it finish in the chili?
 
Mesquite and/or hickory in chunks are main favorites for that dish.
