I'm relatively new to smoking and have committed to smoking a couple chickens tomorrow for the wife.

I'm using a Electric-ECB and plan to run about 250F. In the past it took about 4 hours maybe 5 for one whole chicken.

So how long should I plan for TWO that are cut in half (brest to back)?

Wouldn't expect more time than what you are used to. Maybe just a bit but not much. Smoke em if you got em. Don't be afraid to go to 300 doing poultry. Low and slow does not apply when feathers are involved. You da man.

Like they all have said it shouldn't take much longer for 2 then one because you are smoking in the same smoker.

Do us a favor and stop bye Roll Call and properly introduce yourself so we will get to know you a little bit.

Thanks guys for all the advice.

I was able to do 2 whole chickens in less than 4 1/2 hours.

I'm winning my wife over on smoking meat...she complemented me on the chickens and suggested doing a turkey!
