Greetings from Ontario Canada. I have been smoking on a modified ECB for the past two years and just stepped up to an Akorn Kamado this past weekend. First smoke was an 11lb butt which was smoky, moist and a real crowd pleaser.

Looking for some out of the box recipes!

Welcome fellow Canadian. I have not been smoking as long as you. I started last fall. I had limited success until I found this forum and have been really enjoying it since. There is so much information in the posts and the experienced members are so generous in answering questions that I am sure you will enjoy this forum as much as I do.

Hey disco. I am still very much an amateur at this. Good equipment makes it much more enjoyable. I was more hit and miss with my cooks until I got the maverick temp remote temp probe so you can consistently monitor IT.

I have found enjoyment in the "process" and seeing my family enjoy it!
