Has anyone else done this? Can you do this and still have some chunks? I don't like it when the pork is shredded too fine...
Yes this! I would only pull by hand. Can you do it? Yes. Would you get your best results using it? Probably not. Get some good heat resistant gloves and go by hand like Al said. You get your best results.
I didn't think about the chunks of fat. I can't stand those either, so that may totally deter me from the KA, thanks.Personally I like to pull the pork by hand. That way I can pull out any pieces of un-rendered fat. I hate it when I get a chunk of fat with a bite of a PP sandwich. It also makes it easy to break up & distribute the bark through out the PP.

Are those gloves reusable, or just the throw away type, but have some heat protection? I see lots of cooks using the black thin gloves, are those the ones, or the big giant things that look difficult to do much in?Can you do it? Yes. Would you get your best results using it? I have those too, and I agree, I found myself ditching them and getting in there with my hands as well.I have used the “Bear claw” things too, they do ok but still find myself with my hands doing most of the work.
I will send you a PM with a link to what I have. Not bulky and reuseable. It will make sense when you see them. Are those gloves reusable, or just the throw away type, but have some heat protection?
