Just wanted to shout out all our friends in California during what can only be described as a nightmare situation. Having to go through similar fires of this scale here in Australia I know it must be horrific, letting you know my thoughts are with You all.

Heartbreaking to see destruction at this scale. My heart goes out to all of those folks. Hard to imagine the loss.

Terrible situation, and my heart goes out to all those affected.
But after flying over the areas so many times, and getting the aerial view, their urban planning always looked to me like a disaster waiting to happen. With all those houses and businesses so jam-packed together, it's a little like an incendiary version of dominos. I'm a little surprised that it hasn't happened sooner.

I have a rental that was in evacuation zone but is luckily ok. My friend who rents it had a couple stressful days with her animals but she is ok. I had looked at a couple properties in Altadena that all have burned. Personally I don't know anyone that lost their houses but friends of friends are in the dozens across both fires.

No way to put out a fire when winds blowing 70 mph regardless of the amount of resources. Need to help these people just like the hurricane and tornado victims around the country and make the water delivery system more robust like they rebuilt the levies in NOLA after Katrina.

Definitely wishing the best for those folks. So glad the death toll is as low as it is but they arent done counting.
