Droppin' in from SE Ga to say hello.  Found the forum from a search on Google, and am glad we did. :-)  Looks like lots of good information.  We were here earlier, but didn't have time to sign up.   Can't wait to meet more ppl, and research ideas and information.

I "think" I must have searched for smokehouse ideas, and that is why it showed in my google search.  Does anyone here use the "old time" way of smoking? i.e. and underground pit on the outside for wood, which leads to the smokehouse via smoke pipe?? We are trying to figure out if an old building we have can be used in that manner.  I just remember as a child something along this line of smokehouse.  I guess, I should probably post this in the smokehouse forum.

Anyway, thanks for what looks to be a great forum, I can't wait to learn more!

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

I am sure that there are some of the folks that have done or still do some of the "old time" ways of smoking foods.  There have been some great little smoke houses being built right now.  Here is a link to get you to that part of the forums.  Take a look and see what you think!

TY Kathryn and "Super Moderator" S2 for the welcome.  I did change our profile a bit... I saved the email from Jeff (is that his name?, sorry I have information overload) so I could check out the e-course.  I have a gazillion things that my old brain is "trying" to work on, and sometimes my brain just can't keep up.  :-)

Thanks again for the welcome.

I get the brain overload a bunch too!  Yes,,,,Jeff is the Main Man!  You will enjoy the e-course,  Print it and save the info in a file somewhere.  A good resource.
