Should I use the thermal blanket to smoke tonight? Mid 60s for a low and patchy rain

As the title says, gearing up for an overnight brisket and the temps will be mid 60s with patchy rain.

Do I let the Traeger just do its thing naked or should I dig out the thermal blanket to help with heat control in the potential wind and rain?

I keep my insulated cover on year round, so I say run with the blanket. Rain will suck the heat out of your smoker quickly. Don't know what your blanket is, but my cover is semi-waterproof so I'm ok. Not sure what you're working with.

I just use a welding blanket but run my Camp Chef right inside the barn doors so it's mostly out of the wind and rain. I crack the doors about as wide as the stack to let the smoke out.

Wind has more of an effect than actual temp. If rain expected, I think I would pass on using it, heavy wet may do some wild stuff with your temps. 60° temps shouldn't even be an issue.
Please set high/low alarms to alert you of a fault if perhaps there is one. Good luck. . .

Well thanks for all the input but we opted to leave the blanket off. Outside temps are still pushing 70 and the wind is nil.

Woke up to light rain but the smoker is still doing fine. Pellet hopper about at the level I expected. IT is sitting around 155, again right about where expected. It’s kind of an ugly shape but it’s the how it was after trimming. Walmart meat department. Looked okay until we opened the package to see what we actually bought
