On my mission to gather meat for my big "Q" on the 20th. I went to all the local mega-marts to find the best deals. After 5-6hrs. dirving from place to place and using more gasoline than I care to admit, I ended up at Wally World and found some great looking Briskets (around 16lb. ea.) , but the Ribs and Butt were over $2.50/lb.
Disgruntled,I went to the Big Wally store(Sam's club) and got a case of the Spares for$1.40/lb.(almost dropped my dentures when my jaw fell open).LOL Anyhow,I have now accumulated close to 100# of premo stuff to keep me busy for the next 2-3 days smokin'.
I feel my end of Summer/early B-day "Q" will be good to go!!

Will have it all done on Fri. and in the refer and I'll crank ole FLO up about noon and keep her around 160-180 to warm and serve from during the party.

I'll try to get some finished pics(or as things are going,A pic of the finished deal.
Wish me luck on the Q-view.I won't go through the whole prep thing as you all are familiar with the process.
Thanks for the support and Happy WallyWorld shopping to you

Nice score and good luck!!

I love your Q budget, I'll have to show this thread to my wife...

Actually Rich, I haveno budget, I do as all you ather guys, Kinda slip in a pkg. here and there to the shopping basket and as Tricha is writting out the check I'll side the meat to the cashier and it in the bag. When it's noticed at home , well, I have to put-up with a little ear pulling but eventually she calms down. BUT, when we find a deal (like at Sam,s) she knows to get it now as it's usually much cheaper and the bigger price seems not so bad.(she and the rest of the family love spares, they are never wasted.) A little Sneaky Pete can be useful now and then...to a point.HEEhee!
