Hey folks...
How long will cryovaced ribs keep in the fridge?
I discovered a rack that has been in the fridge (went in fridge frozen) since May 24th.
I frequently leave cryovaced brisket in a cold fridge (34°) for a couple weeks or more...
Just not sure on ribs...they've been in the fridge (34°) for 13 days now...
Still good? If so, for how much longer?
Walt

Open them up and smell them. You should be able to tell real quick if they are still good or not! I would bet they are fine

In general, pork does not get aged nor does do well aging it anyway. The sealed vac-pack should hold 2 weeks. Beyond that, let your Nose be your guide...JJ

Right...but these are ribs...I never worry about beef, ribs however, I'm just not sure about. I usually buy ribs as needed.

Steers have ribs too, just sayin... :P

I agree with the others, sealed up tight PORK ribs should be good in the fridge for a couple weeks, but the best way is by smell. If there is a small funk when you open the bag make sure to rinse them off and let them air dry a bit and smell them again. Sometimes you can find some still good pork with a little odor from being packaged. The rinse and dry should take it out. However, if the smell is horrible then pitch em.

I personally wouldn't even think about it.
Is it worth getting sick over what $25 to $35?
The sickest I've ever been by food was after eating pork and it was nothing nice.
