Sent a deposit yesterday for my new offset Shirley smoker.Still months away from even the build time, but had to get it done. I was informed that the finish build time, now is late sept or October.
I am planning roughly for a 24x60 with no warmer box at present, with a wood box and table.Fortunately if I am able to get over time at work,I plan to add the warmer box and third baffle plate for cooking.I was also told for $250 I could upgrade the length to a 70" and use,the same amount of fuel as a 60"I am also going to opt for $25,of getting an extra piece of steel welded in the bottom of firebox for longer life against burnouts. I hope to post photos when I get it in. Now the wait begins .

I know this response is a little late, but congrats! You'll love that cooker, no doubt. I have the 24x65 on a trailer with warmer. If I had to do it all over again I'd add the baffle from the FB up into the bottom of the warmer, so that the warmer can be used as a dedicated, smaller smoker. I was pressed for cash back then, but I wish I had it now. Post pics when you get her!

Congratulations , in couple of years of learning the basics on my Oklahoma joe. I plan on investing in a nice backyard smoker grill, problem is shipping to California since there's very few bbq fabricators out here.
