Hello everybody,
New User, first time poster. Just a got a Chargriller w/ SFB for a graduation present. Finally graduated from college. The 12 year plan paid off afterall, haha. I've had this thing going a few times, and I'm already experimenting around with mods and such. I put in a few more thermometers at grill height on each end of the cooking smoking barrel. And, I put in a dryer vent bring the smoke exhaust port down to about an 1' above grill height. Next, I think I'm going to take a stap at insulating it with some ceramic batting and aluminum flashing with some pop rivets. Thoughts anyone? Are there easier ways to insulate a off-the-shelf offset smoker?
Anyway, so I got this smoker and am all "fired up" (pun intended) to do some smoking, so now I need to find a good butcher. Anyone here live in Northern Alabama close to Huntsville that knows a good place to go? Your tips would be greatly appreciated.
I've been reading stuff on this forum and feel like I've stumbled onto an awesome resource. Everyone so far seems very friendly and helpful. Thanks for any advice you have to share.
