Just wondering if  anyone is using primer before applying the final paint on their builds. I have the zinc/galvy grinded off my door on the Scuba-Q and a can of Rustoleum high heat bbq black.  Any advice on application?

Does the can have any recommendations on what to do ???  It should recommend a primer if required......  Dave

Good wisdom Dave when in doubt read the destructions! The can did not say anything about primer so I gave the door parts a couple coats, I was really disappointed that this paint dries to a Matt Black which really looked chalky and I really wanted a Satin Black finish. I remembered I had some VHT High Temp Clear and after the paint gassed off I gave it one coat of the clear and it looks like satin. I meant to get some pics of the first coat but was running short on daylight but will get a pic up tomorrow of the door with the flanges bolted back on, maybe even tonight-I hate watching paint dry!     Coolest emoticon ever
