No problem. The parts that actually need cleaning are SS so there should be no issue with a dishwasher. Both the cooking basket and inner layer pull straight out of the unit. They do recommend seasoning with vegetable oil with a burn prior to use and darker can be better. I guess after dishwasher I would probably re-season.
