Caught a good sale on pork butts. Grabbed 68 pounds. My wife, grandson and I made 54 pounds of our family sausage. My grandson is 11 now and been helping Papa for 7 years now. He's becoming a great sausage maker and meat cutter. He can process a deer as good as anyone I know.

The pork shoulders were still on sale a few days ago so I went and grabbed another 66 pounds. We made another 36 pounds of Italian sausage to refill the freezer after the holidays. Going to make 20 pounds of Facett's breakfast sausage tomorrow and cut a few steaks off the last shoulder and make a small roast with it.

For $1.49/pound I couldn't pass it up.

That's what I did with one of the ones I had after I saw pork steaks were $3.99 a pound .
I got through a bunch of Italian and breakfast myself .

Those links look fantastic .
