HEY,

i got my first ever brisket on the smoker as we speak...just came here to double check temperature ranges.

i can only hope mine looks anything at all like that.
 
thats exactly what i didn with mine....didnt know what kind of "juice" to offer to the smoke gods so i poured half a bottle of dark beer into the foil and covered it....

it took about another 45 mins to an hour for it to jump from 160 to 180...pulled it off and let it rest in the oven (turned off) until dinner...about 2 hours.

has a beautiful smoke ring to it and some nice au jus

Everything looks awesome.  Going to try my first brisket this weekend.  What did you add to the baked beans wanna try making them on Saturday.
 
Really great smoke ring dude! Hope mine comes out as good today! I'm making some ranchero beans, but I never thought about putting some smoke to them...gotta try that!
