Hey guys,

Not sure if anyone remembers me, but wanted to make sure no one was worrying that I was one of the Oregon firefighters who passed away in the Helicopter crash a few weeks ago.

I just got back from a dispatch getting sent all over California and ending up fighting fire in Oregon grassland for two days.

Everything is going well, I feel more unsafe on the roads then in any fire I have been on.

I don't have much time now, but I got tons of pictures I need to organize and make a youtube video or throw them up on photobucket.

Finally picked up my smoker a few days before being sent off to dispatch. Depending on if I get my days off this week (supposed to be hammered with lightning) I got 5 pounds of pork spare ribs ready to be smoked. Probably cook up some chicken with them also.

Take it easy guys. Hope the smoking is going well.

I definately remember you john! So glad to hear you are ok. Still want to thank you for what you do. You have an amazing job.
