In cleaning out the kitchen cabinet that is the home for rubs and seasoning, it got me thinking - how do you store and organize your rubs and seasonsing?

Mine just sit, jumbled together, in the cabinet. There has to be a better way to organize and be able to access everything, not just the stuff at the front.

Get a carousel type rack. Or if you don't have the space, a friend a mine has a pull out rack, sorta like a filing cabinet but the sides are open. I have a carousel built into the corner cabinet and I'm still a mess ;)

So my wife had the same issue. Here’s a couple pics of what she did. These are the spices that she regularly uses. I keep my stuff in the pantry that I use for Q ing. She gets mad when I use her stuff, probably because I would forget to tell her when I used it all and not replace it lol. Anyways, notice the little racks that line the cabinet. We got these at bed bath and beyond

I have two 6 tier metal spice racks attached vertically to the inside of the kitchen closet/pantry door. Each tier holds 7 standard size spice jars for a total capacity of 84 jars. The jars are arranged alphabetically. Excess jars and larger containers go on a step like 3 tier expandable shelf that's placed on one of the closets shelves.

Some in the pantry, some in the freezer drawer, some in the spice drawer, some in the utility room freezer some sitting on the food prep counter. My method is to ask the wife, "where's the [whatever]?"

Thanks for all of the input! I grabbed two small plastic storage type baskets, from Wally World, that fit onto the shelf. It seems like it will help keep things somewhat contained and will be easy to pull out, grab what you need, and slide back in.

My next project is to move the bar around in the kitchen then cut at least 1 door opening into the kitchen wall and put hinges on it,then will add some 1x4 shelf's to store my spices,it will free up counter and cabinet space, not sure how tall I will make it but rather have more room than less lol
