is there a reason other then its easier to find a round tanks that horizontal reverse flows are round instead of square?  if i ever finish the current one im building i want to build a smaller patio sized one and just looking at options and getting opinions

I think round may have better air/heat flow and less area for "dead spots", cold corners etc...

In my opinion, the only reason to use a round tank is that they are easier to find and save a ton of work building the CC, and they look good.

I see no inherent performance advantage over a properly designed square CC, and a square CC gives you more rack space for the same footprint. JM2CW, BWTHDIK.

Doors on a round tank give you better access and are easier to seal. Unless you build a fairly tall "box",  and can go with just a front door, but it still limits your light.   Some people try to do a octagon , but I didn't really care for the one I built,

never thought about an octagon either, i guess when the time comes i will see what i can find thanks for the input

I built a square and love it . I think the racking works better and what not but that's just me
