It is a sad day and we will miss Rich.. he has been a moderator here for a long time and he always did his job with such class and finesse. Even when he was very sick, he would always let the admin team know if he would be unable to be here for a few days. One of the last things he emailed me about was t-shirts.. he wanted to help get the ball rolling on making some shirts for the SMF family. Unfortunately he got too sick to do much with it but his heart was certainly with us even to the end.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that he may be gone but he will never be forgotten. He was the essence of what makes this forum what it is is today and his memory will live on forever in all of our hearts.

It is also ironic that just one year ago today on Sept. 1, 2010 that Ronp passed away.

I recall the first SMF PM I ever received from Rich about 5 years ago telling me my signature was words to live by... "No man on his death bed ever said I should have worked more.... and hunted and fished less." Those words mean quite a bit more to me now....

I have this mental vision of Richoso, RonP and BigArm's smokin (Terry) all sitting up there sipp'n on a few, smoker a puff'n; just generally taking it easy and smiling down on us all talking amongst each other about how their new face-to-face family is growing and how we all will eventually meet...
