Woke up late, sat around drinking coffee watching You Tube videos of expensive stick burning smokers. I really have a problem! Around 1pm I thought I should put all this studying to use. My wife gets off at 8pm and I better have dinner. Happy wife, happy life! Ran to the store and picked up 5 slabs of St. Louis cut ribs. I had no "Jeff's rub" made so I picked up a commercial brand with the same sauce (Famous D's). I quickly cleaned the grill, started the coals, prepped the ribs and got them rolling at 3pm.
Not bad.

I recently made a batch of Jeff's Rub made with Splenda brown sugar. It wasn't bad but I really didn't like it. Like a dummy I dumped it in the garbage without making a batch with real brown sugar.

3 hours in.

Forgot foil at the store so we're going to cook non-wrapped ribs. I've been spraying them with a half apple cider, half apple juice mixture.
I'll sauce at the 4.5 hour mark.

Looking good
