Today was food ad day in the hood, so I usually wait for my mentally challenged mail person to leave the ads in the mail recepticle. The upcoming "holiday" is just around the corner & the traditional start of the summer season begins, and the ads sure show it. I'd like to share just one example (spares) and the wide range of prices for similar if not identical items. Living is So. Cal. does have some advantages as the competition, food wise can be advantageous. Smart & Final even tho they're a "warehouse" type store had the highest price this week.
Next was a Trader Joes knock off. Sometimes they'll have tri tips for $2.99 lb.
Now we're in workin' mans territory. They're owned & operated by Kroeger. Usually xlnt value and prices expecially on butts & shoulders.
And the big winner this week is Valu +. They consistently kick butt price wise. This is where I get shoulders for $.78 & butts for $.88 lb. Funny thing, they're owned & operated by Kroeger also. Go figure!
