Today was food ad day in the hood, so I usually wait for my mentally challenged mail person to leave the ads in the mail recepticle. The upcoming "holiday" is just around the corner & the traditional start of the summer season begins, and the ads sure show it. I'd like to share just one example (spares) and the wide range of prices for similar if not identical items. Living is So. Cal. does have some advantages as the competition, food wise can be advantageous. Smart & Final even tho they're a "warehouse" type store had the highest price this week.

Next was a Trader Joes knock off. Sometimes they'll have tri tips for $2.99 lb.

Now we're in workin' mans territory. They're owned & operated by Kroeger. Usually xlnt value and prices expecially on butts & shoulders.

And the big winner this week is Valu +. They consistently kick butt price wise. This is where I get shoulders for $.78 & butts for $.88 lb. Funny thing, they're owned & operated by Kroeger also. Go figure!

Here in Central Wisconsin 1.99 for ribs, 2.99 for baby backs and .88 for Boston butts for the next two weeks

Our grocery flyers come on Thursday. I'll keep an eye out for specials. For .98/lb Im tempted to hop in the car and head West.

Load up.

I see we've been thumbing through the same circulars. The majority of my buys are at Value Plus. Smoke on bro.

We don't get our sale ads until tomorrow. Should be interesting to see what they're going to charge us for them. Unless they're a great price, I'm thinking it's chuckie time again.

We never see those crazy low prices. The circulars hit the mail box today. W/D had spares at $1.79/lb Back ribs at over $3.00/lb That was the lowest price I've seen on spares.

Around here the jack the prices for the holidays just like the gas companies.
bought BB last week for 2.99 now there 3.99. Spares and beef ribs are 2.99.

"When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping" and that's exactly what I did. Scarfed up on the rib bargains and then on the way home heard a special on the radio. Nailed the brakes, a quick u-turn and check it out in the last 2 pics. I'd say the day was a major "score". 6 racks just for the heck of it. After all these goodies hit the freezer, need to see how much room I've got left.

Those look vaguely familiar. Kinda looks like tri-tip from a distance.

By golly, gee willickers, they sure are. Holy stromboli, check out that price. With a limit of 2 you bet your buttocks I made 2 trips in to the store. Might even go back tomorrow.
