Reverse Flow Gas Pipe Smoker Build

Hey Yall,

My old smoker rusted out from the long hard winters of Minnesota so I figured it was time to build a new one.

Luckily my brother-in-law got his hands on some gas main piping and asked if I wanted to build a smoker.

Its some pretty big and heavy pipe, weighs roughly 75lbs / ft. I figure it will hold heat pretty well.

Decided to weld up a frame to hold it out of 1" square steel

The main Cooking chamber is 58" long, and very very heavy.

Lucky for me, my cousin has a plasma cutting table and I had him make me some end caps for the cook chamber and the firebox with a door.

Lets hoist this fat pig and get it welded into place

Put some feet on it and see if it rolls

I don't want this to break a weld, we decided to reinforce some corners

It will live its whole life on my back porch so I think 1" should be strong enough.
