Hi All, I recently finished building a new smoker. Ive built allot of heavy art but this is my first smoker. Did a test cook and it was exceptional. Im looking to sell it but plan on renting it out while trying to find a buyer. Looking for some advice on how to protect myself and what others have done when renting. Also, looking for your thoughts on price point. This is a unique unit with a unique style and story.

About the smoker: Made from an antique air tank from an abandoned mine, mounted on a welded stand and on a trailer. The whole unit can be removed from the trailer if desired. Sierra wood stove as a fire box with 12" waterworks butterfly valve for smoke inlet and 6" valve for smoke outlet. 5 customen shelves that slide out and can be configured as desired. Cowboy hat topper and currently working on a football helmet topper. Red powdercoat good to 800 degrees and black powdercoat good to 1200 degrees.

Looks cool! I know nothing about how to answer your questions.

Welcome to SMF. Might advise you to hit the roll call forum and add your location to your profile.

Looks steampunk to me. Renaissance fair may be a good place to rent/sell it. I think your asking price determines your rental price to an extent. Hog cooker rental on Craigslist is around $250. Look there and marketplace to get ideas. Good job, good luck.
