Ok so I smoked an 8 # butt yesterday for my wife to take to office tomorrow. It came out a little dry for some reason? We have a heavy duty aluminum pans with sterno type heat cans. How long do you think to heat up and how to moisten it up thanks ahead of time

You can use a sauce of sorts to moisten the meats.  With a sterno can...I am not sure how long that would take.  BUT...when I have had my foil pans in the fridge....I pop them in a 300* oven for about 30 minutes...and that works here at my house.

Thank you both . Should I mix the finishing sauce as i heat or before . By the way my wife is going to use a crockpot she can't have open flame in the office

I would mix it when it goes in the crock pot...set on low when she get to the office...and then serve.  BUT check to make sure it's not too hot a couple of times too.
